QUICK LINKS

5-oxo-ETE is an eicosatetraenoic acid found to be a metabolite of arachidonic acid and a product of 5-lipoxygenase pathway. This compound is a strong in vitro chemoattractant for neurophils, eosinophils, monocytes, and basophils. Additionally, 5-oxo-ETE and other eicosanoids have been reported to play a key role in inflammatory responses. Mechanistic studies suggest that the biological activity of 5-oxo-ETE influences by a G protein-linked receptor. 5-oxo-ETE is an activator of TG1019.
