4-Aminobenzoic acid sodium salt is an aminobenzoic acid. Soluble in water and alcohol. Shown to inhibit bacterial growth by binding to enzymes responsible for fatty acid synthesis. This interaction effects prevents fatty acid formation and eventually leads to cell death.
