4-Acetaminophen-d3 Sulfate Potassium Salt is a labeled metabolite of acetaminophen (sc-203425), which modulates the endogenous cannabinoid system. It is known that acetaminophen functions by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, strong mediators in a variety of cellular functions. Studies show that acetaminophen displays anti-platelet activity. In addition, 4-Acetaminophen-d3 Sulfate Potassium Salt is used in research to inhibit (Cox) cyclooxygenase, which can potentially decrease the production of prostaglandins, prostacyclin and thromboxane. Furthermore, this compound can be separated from other monohydroxy aromatic derivatives by the use of reverse-phase HPLC with great efficiency.
