3-Hydroxythiobenzamide is a methanol derivative used as a measurement tool for determining the concentration of thiobenzamide in solution. It has a linear calibration curve and can be used in reversed-phase, photometric, and chloride ionization modes. It has a shelf life of at least 6 months at room temperature. 3-Hydroxythiobenzamide has excellent stability. This compound can be used as an alternative to 3-(2-carboxyethyl)-5,6-dihydrothiazole (TCET), as it produces comparable outcomes with a consistent response time.
