3,4-Dephostatin is a protein tyrosine phosphatase inhibitor that enhances growth factor-induced differentiation in PC12 cells possibly by sustaining MAP kinase activity. 3,4-Dephostatin can also be used as a protein S-nitrosylating agent and exhibits greater stability than Dephostatin.
