QUICK LINKS

Tetraiodothyroacetic acid (Tetrac) is a derivative of L-thyroxine (T4) and functions as a thyrointegrin receptor antagonist. By binding to the cell surface receptor for thyroid hormone on integrin αvβ3, Tetrac effectively inhibits the actions of T4 and 3,5,3′-triiodo-L-thyronine (T3). Notably, Tetrac exhibits significant anti-angiogenic and anti-tumor activities.
