SIRT2 Inhibitor, AGK2 is a reversible inhibitor of sirtuin 2 (SIRT2), a histone deacetylase enzyme. Inhibition of SIRT2 has been correlated to protection against dopaminergic cell death in Parkinson′s disease models, and is also shown to rescue cells from toxicity conferred by alpha-synuclein expression. SIRT2 Inhibitor, AGK2 has little activity against SIRT1 and SIRT3 (IC50 >50 muM).
