ERK Inhibitor II, FR180204 is a novel ERK-selective inhibitor that can permeate the cell. ERK Inhibitor II, FR180204 has been reported to inhibit ERK1 (Ki=0.31muM), ERK2 (Ki=0.14 muM), TGFbeta-induced AP-1 activation, and acts as a competitive inhibitor of ATP. Additionally, it may act to suppress antigen-specific activation of T cells. Collagen-induced arthritis studies have described that in the presence of ERK Inhibitor II, FR180204 delayed-type hypersensitivity is weakened and there is a decrease in plasma anti-CII antibody levels. Inhibitor-ERK2 complex studies report that ERK Inhibitor II, FR180204 shows little activity towards IKKalpha, MEK1, MKK4, PDGFRalpha, PKCalpha, Src, and Syk. ERK Inhibitor II, FR180204 is an inhibitor of p38 alpha.
