(2E,4E)-2,4-Decadienoic acid, also referred to as trans-2,4-Decadienoic acid, is a naturally occurring carboxylic acid. Among its potential advantages, (2E,4E)-2,4-Decadienoic acid exhibits valuable properties as an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-microbial agent. It stimulates the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) system, responsible for regulating lipid and glucose metabolism. Activation of this system leads to enhanced fatty acid oxidation, reduced triglyceride synthesis, and improved insulin sensitivity.
