QUICK LINKS

2-Phenylacetamide is a nitro, acetate extract that exhibits antimicrobial activity. Its potential as an antiviral drug has been explored. Notably, 2-Phenylacetamide interacts with the 2-adrenergic receptor, predominantly located in the brain, leading to the inhibition of neurotransmitter release. Additionally, it binds to κ-opioid receptors and sodium carbonate present in cells throughout the body. While the exact biological mechanisms are not fully understood, some studies propose that 2-Phenylacetamide may inhibit microbial metabolism or stimulate monoamine neurotransmitters.
