2-Iminopiperidine hydrochloride is a selective inhibitor of NOS2. Studies indicate that human nitric oxide synthase (NOS) isoforms can be inhibited by isoforms of 2-Iminopiperidine hydrochloride. In addition, 2-Iminopiperidine hydrochloride is a more potent inhibitor than NG-methyl-L-arginine.
