2-Imino-4-methylpiperidine acetate is a potent, general NOS inhibitor. 2-Imino-4-methylpiperidine exhibits IC50 values of 0.1, 1.1, and 0.2 μM for inhibition of human NOS2 (iNOS), NOS3 (eNOS), and NOS1 (nNOS), respectively, at an arginine concentration of 30 μM.
