QUICK LINKS

(2-Hydroxypropyl)-γ-cyclodextrin is a gamma cyclodextrin that is a derivative of an 8-membered sugar ring molecule. (2-Hydroxypropyl)-γ-cyclodextrin can crosslink to form longer polymers. This overall is a very useful chemical for supramolecular chemistry. (2-Hydroxypropyl)-γ-cyclodextrin is also used in the solubilization of macromolecules and in cell culture applications. (2-Hydroxypropyl)-γ-cyclodextrin is similar to β-Cyclodextrin (sc-204430), but (2-Hydroxypropyl)-γ-cyclodextrin can work with larger molecules.
