2-Acetamido-6-chloro-9-(2′,3′,5′-tri-O-acetyl-β-D-ribofuranosyl)purine (ACRP) is a synthetic purine compound that has been used in scientific research for its wide range of applications. 2-Acetamido-6-chloro-9-(2′,3′,5′-tri-O-acetyl-β-D-ribofuranosyl)purine is a derivative of adenine, a nucleobase found in the nucleic acids DNA and RNA. It may act to increase the activity of adenylate cyclase, which is an enzyme involved in the synthesis of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP). It has also been reported to increase the activity of protein kinase A, which is an enzyme involved in the regulation of cellular processes such as cell proliferation and apoptosis. Lastly, it can increase the activity of phospholipase C, an enzyme involved in the breakdown of phospholipids.
