2,5-Di-tert-amylhydroquinone (DTAHQ) is a phenolic compound naturally found in numerous plants and fruits. It belongs to the hydroquinone family. While the complete mechanism of action of 2,5-Di-tert-amylhydroquinone remains elusive, it is postulated that it scavenges free radicals. Additionally, 2,5-Di-tert-amylhydroquinone has shown inhibitory effects on certain enzymes involved in inflammation and cell proliferation.
