2,4,6-Trihydroxybenzoic acid (THBA) has been under examination for its biochemical and physiological effects, as well as its potential applications in creating new compounds and studying cell behavior. It has also been evaluated for its antioxidant properties and its capacity to impede the growth of specific bacteria and fungi. Studies have also been conducted on its anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effects. 2,4,6-Trihydroxybenzoic Acid′s mechanism of action is not entirely clear, but it′s believed to function by inhibiting the activity of certain enzymes like cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase, which play a role in the creation of pro-inflammatory mediators. It also is thought to work by scavenging free radicals and preventing the formation of reactive oxygen species.
