It′s thought that 2-[[(4S)-4-[(7-CHLORO-4-QUINOLINYL)AMINO]PENTYL]ETHYLAMINO]-ETHANOL, functions as an inhibitor of heme polymerase, an essential enzyme for the survival of malaria parasites. It′s believed to disrupt the parasite′s heme synthesis, a critical part of the parasite′s digestive system. Consequently, this inhibition results in the parasite′s demise.
