QUICK LINKS

1H-Benzotriazole is an anticorrosive agent, used in aircraft deicing and antifreeze fluids, as well as being a component of dishwasher detergents. It is also used as a restrainer within photographic emulsions, and even a reagent for silver determination in analytical chemistry. Moreover, it plays a key role in the synthesis of amines from glyoxal. In the realm of microbiology, 1H-Benzotriazole acts as a growth inhibitor for microorganisms by binding to bacteria′s outer membranes, preventing cell adhesion to surfaces. Notably, it demonstrates efficacy against gram-positive bacteria even at low concentrations.
