QUICK LINKS

17β-Neriifolin, also known as Neriifolin, is a cardiac glycoside compound that is naturally found in the leaves of the Nerium oleander plant, also known as the oleander plant. Its anti-cancer properties have been studied, and it may act to induce cell death in cancer cells through its ability to inhibit the Na+/K+-ATPase enzyme. This enzyme is essential for maintaining the balance of sodium and potassium ions in cells, and by inhibiting it, 17β-Neriifolin can disrupt cell function and cause cell death.
