17(R)-Resolvin D1 is a bioactive lipid mediator derived from docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) that plays a role in the resolution of inflammation. It is produced during the resolution phase of acute inflammation and has potent anti-inflammatory and pro-resolving properties. 17(R)-Resolvin D1 is involved in the regulation of various cellular processes, including the inhibition of pro-inflammatory cytokine production, the promotion of macrophage phagocytosis of apoptotic cells, and the reduction of neutrophil infiltration at the site of inflammation. This lipid mediator has the ability to promote tissue repair and regeneration by stimulating the production of anti-inflammatory and pro-resolving mediators. 17(R)-Resolvin D1 regulates the immune response and promote the resolution of chronic inflammation. 17(R)-Resolvin D1 is an important mediator in the resolution of inflammation and plays a role in maintaining tissue homeostasis.
