14,15-Leukotriene C4 has been shown to have a high binding affinity to glutathione transferases. This compound and other leukotrienes are potent eicosanoid lipid mediators that are derived from arachidonic acid in leukocytes. Leukotrienes are known to affect inflammatory responses and are involved in various homeostatic biological functions.
