QUICK LINKS

12(S),20-DiHETE, an arachidonic acid metabolite, has been demonstrated to be formed from 12-hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid (12-HETE; sc-204982) during interaction between platelets and unstimulated neutrophils. This formation has been shown to be blocked by cytochrome P-450 inhibitors and leukotriene B4. Studies suggest that 12(S),20-DiHETE activates both cytoplasmic and lysosomal cholesteryl ester hydrolytic activity.
