It′s recognized for its modulation of receptors and enzymatic activities related to the histamine metabolic pathway. Despite its structural relation to histamine, 1-Methyl-4-imidazoleacetic acid hydrochloride does not share histamine′s ability to modulate the binding of histamine-coupled erythrocytes to alveolar macrophages.
