(±)-1-Aminocyclopentanl-trans-1,3-Dicarboxylic acid is a equimolecular mixture of (1S,3R)- and (1R,3S)-ACPD. (±)-1-Aminocyclopentanl-trans-1,3-Dicarboxylic acid is used as a selective agonist of the mGluR (metabotropic glutamate receptor); active at both group I and group II mGlu receptors (EC50 values are 2, 15, 23 and ~800 μM at mGluR2, mGluR1, mGluR5 and mGluR4 respectively).
