1,4-Butanediol diglycidyl ether (BDDE) has been explored for its antioxidant properties and potential applicability in diverse areas of scientific research. It′s been employed as a cross-linking agent in polyurethanes′ production and as an antioxidant during the creation of polymeric materials. Although the exact mechanism of action of 1,4-Butanediol diglycidyl ether is not entirely clear, it is posited that it may function as an antioxidant by neutralizing free radicals that can inflict oxidative harm to cells. Further, it might operate as an anti-inflammatory agent by restraining the discharge of pro-inflammatory cytokines.
