1,3-Diisopropylurea (1,3-DiU) is utilized in the investigation of glycolysis, gluconeogenesis, fatty acid oxidation, and lipogenesis inhibition. It has also been employed to explore the effects of inhibiting carbohydrate, protein, and lipid metabolism. Furthermore, 1,3-Diisopropylurea is identified as one of the degradation products resulting from the photocatalysis of the herbicide Bromacil.
