(±)- Clopidogrel-d4 Carboxylic Acid (RCCA) is a deuterated clopidogrel metabolite. This product is a racemic mixture. It acts as an inhibitor of the enzyme cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2). It can also inhibit the release of inflammatory mediators, such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes, which can lead to a decrease in inflammation. It has also been studied for its ability to reduce the production of reactive oxygen species, which can lead to a decrease in oxidative stress.
