TNF-R2 Antibody (D-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects TNF-R2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TNF-R2 Antibody (D-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TNF-R2 protein, also known as TNFRSF1B, plays a crucial role in mediating the effects of tumor necrosis factor (TNF), a key cytokine involved in systemic inflammation and immune responses. Unlike TNF-R1, which is widely expressed and mediates most TNF functions, TNF-R2 is primarily expressed on immune cells and is involved in promoting cell survival, proliferation, and differentiation. This selective expression is significant as TNF-R2′s role in modulating immune responses, particularly in the context of autoimmune diseases and cancer, where TNF-R2 signaling pathways can influence the balance between pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory responses. Understanding the interactions and signaling mechanisms of TNF-R2 is essential for developing targeted therapies that can manipulate these pathways for therapeutic benefit.
