    SEE ALSO...

RuvB Antibody (4G5/1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the RuvB protein of E. coli origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). RuvB (4G5/1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RuvB plays a crucial role in the late stages of homologous recombination and DNA repair, specifically in processing Holliday junctions, which are critical intermediates in these processes. RuvB, along with RuvA and RuvC, is essential for maintaining genomic stability, as RuvB facilitates branch migration and interacts with damaged DNA to promote repair. RuvA enhances the ATPase activity of RuvB, and this interaction is further stimulated by UV irradiation, highlighting RuvB′s importance in responding to DNA damage. RuvB′s ability to induce conformational changes in DNA using ATP is vital for effective DNA repair and recombination, making RuvB a key player in cellular responses to DNA damage and replication stress. Additionally, the RuvABC complex is implicated in the formation of double-strand breaks at stalled replication forks, underscoring RuvB′s significance in maintaining the integrity of the bacterial genome.
