Rabies Virus Antibody (RV1C5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a light chain antibody that specifically detects Rabies Virus and is suitable for western blotting (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-Rabies Virus antibody (RV1C5) recognizes a neurotropic lyssavirus known for infecting a wide range of hosts, leading to severe central nervous system infections characterized by CNS irritation, paralysis, and death. Rabies Virus monoclonal antibody (RV1C5) targets a pathogen with a distinctive bullet-shaped morphology, featuring a protein coat enveloped in a lipid membrane with glycoprotein projections that facilitate host cell attachment and entry. These glycoproteins mediate binding to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors on neuronal cells, enabling viral hijacking of cellular machinery for replication. Rabies Virus (RV1C5) antibody serves as an essential tool for studying rabies pathogenesis and developing therapeutic interventions by enabling viral protein visualization and quantification in experimental settings.
