PSMD11 Antibody (AT1F4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PSMD11 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PSMD11 antibody (AT1F4) is available as a non-conjugated format. PSMD11, also known as S9, Rpn6, or p44.5, is a crucial regulatory subunit of the 26S proteasome, which is essential for selective degradation of ubiquitinated proteins in eukaryotic cells. PSMD11 consists of 422 amino acids and features a PCI domain, playing a vital role in ATP-dependent degradation process that maintains cellular homeostasis by regulating protein turnover. The 26S proteasome consists of a 20S core particle that serves as the proteolytic chamber and two 19S regulatory particles that recognize and unfold ubiquitinated substrates, ensuring damaged or misfolded proteins are efficiently removed from cells. PSMD11 is encoded on human chromosome 17, a region encompassing over 2.5% of the human genome and responsible for encoding more than 1,200 genes, highlighting PSMD11′s importance in cellular function and potential implications in various diseases related to protein mismanagement.
