SEE ALSO...

PGM 2 Antibody (F-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PGM 2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PGM 2 (F-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PGM 2 protein, consisting of 612 amino acids, is a member of the phosphoglucomutase family and plays a crucial role in carbohydrate metabolism, specifically in glycogenolysis and glycogenesis. PGM 2 protein catalyzes the interconversion of glucose-1-phosphate and glucose-6-phosphate, thereby facilitating energy production and storage. PGM 2 protein is predominantly localized in the cytoplasm of cells in tissues such as the lung, spleen, and thymus, which is significant for involvement in metabolic processes and potential implications in congenital immunodeficiencies. PGM 2 expression in these tissues suggests importance in maintaining cellular energy homeostasis and immune function, making PGM 2 protein a valuable target for research in metabolic disorders and immune system-related diseases.
