I am using MAG (A-11): sc-166849 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

I tested this antibody by Western blot (chemiluminescence), on whole cerebellar homogenate (60ug/lane) from 17 days old rat. 1:100 dilution (O/N) in 3%BSA-0.2%Tween-TBS1x, 1:3000 secondary Ab 2h RT. The signal was even too strong, nevertheless specific (unique band of the expected molecular weight) !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Specific antibody binding I bought this antibody to assess the presence of oligodendrocytes in cell culture vs. mouse brain lysates. This antibody was very specific giving 1 clear band at the expected molecular weight will little to no background in the mouse brain lysate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Funciona muy bien Utilicé una muestra gratuita para evaluar por western blot la proteína en corteza de ratón, y obtuve una banda muy clara de unos 150 kDa, a una concentración 1/1000 . 10 ug de proteína, tampón de bloqueo TBS 1%, Tween 0.1%, leche 5%; anticuerpo preparado en tampón de lavados TBS 1% Tween 0.1%, leche 1%.
