락토페린 항체(B97)는 웨스턴 블롯(WB), 면역침전법(IP), 면역형광법(IF), 파라핀 포매 섹션 면역조직화학(IHCP), 유세포분석법(FCM), 효소결합 면역흡착 분석법(ELISA)을 통해 인간 락토페린을 검출하는 마우스 단일클론 IgG1 카파 경쇄 항체입니다. 항락토페린 항체(B97)는 비접합형과 아가로스, 과산화효소(HRP), 피코에리트린(PE), 플루오레세인 이소티오시아네이트(FITC), 다중 알렉사 플루오르® 접합체를 포함한 다양한 접합형 형태로 제공됩니다. 트랜스페린 계열의 일원인 락토페린은 철분과 결합하고 그 가용성을 조절함으로써 철분 대사에 중요한 역할을 하는데, 이는 면역 반응과 세포 성장 등 다양한 생물학적 과정에 필수적입니다. 락토페린은 주로 우유, 눈물, 백혈구에서 발견되는데, 락토페린은 철분 결합 단백질로서의 기능뿐만 아니라 항균 특성도 가지고 있습니다. 락토페린은 헤모필루스 인플루엔자(Haemophilus influenzae)에 의해 분비되는 IgA1 프로테아제를 분해하는 능력을 가지고 있기 때문에, 박테리아의 집락화를 방지하는 인간 IgA1 항체의 효과를 강화합니다. 락토페린은 바이러스의 융합과 숙주 세포로의 침입을 방해함으로써 HIV-1 복제를 억제하는 것으로 밝혀졌으며, 따라서 잠재적인 치료적 응용 가능성을 보여주고 있습니다. 인간 락토페린을 암호화하는 유전자는 3번 염색체 21.31에 위치해 있으며, 락토페린 발현은 다양한 생리적, 병리학적 조건에 따라 조절되기 때문에 락토페린은 면역학 연구에서 중요한 바이오마커가 됩니다.

Can anti-human anti-lactoferrin sc-53498 monoclonal antibody be used for goat lactoferrin detection?

Thank you for your question. We do not know if this antibody would recognize lactoferrin of goat origin. This is a monoclonal antibody raised against full length purified lactoferrin of human origin. The exact epitope recognized by this monoclonal antibody has not been determined. The full length human lactoferrin protein sequence does share ~71% sequence identity with the goat lactoferrin protein sequence. This is not great enough sequence identity for us to guarantee cross-reactivity, but there is certainly a chance that the antibody may cross-react with the goat protein.

Can lactoferrin (B97): sc-53498 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, lactoferrin (B97): sc-53498 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
