Epsin 1 Antibody (G-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Epsin 1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Epsin 1 plays a crucial role in the endocytic process, particularly in the formation of Clathrin-coated vesicles, which are essential for the internalization of membrane proteins and lipids. Epsin 1′s structure includes an epsin N-terminal homology (ENTH) domain that facilitates membrane binding and a Clathrin-binding motif, which is vital for interaction with Clathrin and other endocytic proteins. This structural configuration allows Epsin 1 to effectively mediate membrane invagination during vesicle formation, a process critical for cellular communication and nutrient uptake. Additionally, Epsin 1′s localization to the leading edge of vesicular coated pits highlights an active role in the dynamic remodeling of the plasma membrane, making Epsin 1 a key player in the regulation of endocytosis. Anti-Epsin 1 antibody (G-11) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying the mechanisms of endocytosis and its implications in various physiological and pathological processes.
