Cytokeratin 5/6/18 Antibody (LP34) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Cytokeratin 5/6/18 in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Cytokeratin 5/6/18 maintains structural integrity and function of epithelial cells by forming intermediate filaments that provide mechanical support and resilience to tissues. Cytokeratin 5/6/18 (LP34) antibody helps detect these proteins during wound healing and tissue repair, as Cytokeratin 6 expresses in suprabasal keratinocytes during epidermal regeneration, highlighting its role in injury response. Cytokeratin 18 emerges as one of the earliest keratins during embryonic development and remains a significant component of simple epithelia in adults, serving as a valuable marker for identifying adenocarcinomas. Anti-Cytokeratin 5/6/18 antibody (LP34) serves as an essential tool for studying epithelial differentiation, tissue pathology, and molecular mechanisms underlying various diseases, including cancer.

Thank you for your question. Yes, Cytokeratin 5/6/18 (LP34): sc-53262 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections.
