    SEE ALSO...

Choriogonadotropin β Antibody (ME-107) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects choriogonadotropin β in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Choriogonadotropin β plays a crucial role in early pregnancy by stimulating the ovaries to produce essential steroids, including estrogen and progesterone, which are vital for maintaining a healthy pregnancy. Choriogonadotropin β exists as a heterodimer, composed of a unique β chain that provides biological specificity and an α chain that is common to all gonadotropins. The unique β chain is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 19, while the α subunit is mapped to chromosome 6. Proper functioning of choriogonadotropin β is essential not only for its role in reproductive health but also for its involvement in various signaling pathways that regulate ovarian function. Additionally, choriogonadotropin β is a member of the cystine knot growth-factor superfamily, characterized by a distinct arrangement of six cysteine residues, which is critical for structural integrity and biological activity. Anti-choriogonadotropin β antibody (ME-107) specifically recognizes choriogonadotropin β, making ME-107 an invaluable tool for research in reproductive biology and related fields.
