CGRP 항체(4901)는 웨스턴 블롯(WB), 면역침전(IP), 면역형광(IF), 효소결합면역흡착분석(ELISA) 등의 방법을 통해 쥐, 쥐, 인간, 개 샘플에서 CGRP를 검출하는 쥐 단일클론 IgG1 카파 경쇄 항체입니다. CGRP(4901) 항체는 비접합 형태와 아가로스, 호스래디시 퍼옥시다아제(HRP), 피코에리트린(PE), 플루오레세인 이소티오시아네이트(FITC), 다중 알렉사 플루오르® 접합체를 포함한 다양한 접합 형태로 제공됩니다. 칼시토닌 유전자 관련 펩티드(CGRP)는 37개의 아미노산으로 구성된 신경펩티드로, 혈관 확장 및 통증 경로 조절에 중요한 역할을 담당하기 때문에 편두통과 다른 혈관 장애에 중요한 역할을 합니다. CGRP(4901) 단일 클론 항체는 주로 CGRP가 합성되어 감각 신경에서 방출되는 중추 및 말초 신경계에서 이 신경펩티드를 검출합니다. 이러한 위치에 CGRP가 존재하는 것은 신경성 염증을 조절하고 혈류를 조절하는 데 필수적이며, 특히 CGRP 수치가 종종 상승하는 편두통과 같은 질환에서 더욱 그렇습니다. I want to know if the CGRP Antibody (4901), could be used for the detection of CGRP in human saliva in a study on migraine in patients with neurocysticercosis?

Thank you for your question. This antibody has not been tested on human saliva, but it is recommended for detection of CGRP1 and CGRP2 of mouse, rat, human and canine origin, independent of cell type, by WB, IP, IF and ELISA.

Hi, I am looking for an antibody for human CGRP peptide to be used in western blot, and that would not cross-react with procalcitonin and calcitonin. Which antibody would be best? Thanks, svetlana

Thank you for your question. Our antibody sc-57053, is specific for CGRP1 and CGRP2, and should not detect calcitonin.

Thank you for your question. The expected molecular weight of the pro-form of CGRP is approximately 17 kDa, and the active form is approximately 4 kDa.

Why the band of CGRP in WB occurs at near 19kDa in your figure while the molecular weight of CGRP is only around 3.5kDa?

Thank you for your question. The active form of this protein is ~4kDa while the pro form (proCGRP) is ~17-19 kDa. Either form can be detected depending on what is present in the cells. Please contact technical service if you need further assistance.
