ACE Antibody (E-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody designed to detect angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), also known as CD143 or Angiotensin Converting Enzyme 1. Anti-ACE antibody (E-9) is raised against amino acids 1-170 of human ACE and effectively recognizes the somatic isoform of ACE from mouse, rat, and human origins through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ACE monoclonal antibody (E-9) shows reactivity with ACE from equine, canine, bovine, and porcine species, making this tool versatile for a wide range of research studies. Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) is a membrane-bound zinc metallopeptidase located on the surface of vascular endothelial cells, where ACE plays a critical role in the renin-angiotensin system by converting Angiotensin I into the potent vasopressor hormone Angiotensin II.
