    SEE ALSO...

uMtCK Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects uMtCK protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-uMtCK antibody (C-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. uMtCK, a mitochondrial-specific isoform of creatine kinase, plays a crucial role in cellular energy metabolism by facilitating the transfer of phosphate groups between creatine and adenosine nucleotides, thereby maintaining ATP levels in mitochondria where energy demand is high. This function is particularly important in tissues with high energy requirements, such as cardiac and skeletal muscle, as well as in the brain, where uMtCK supports the energetic needs of neurons. Proper functioning of uMtCK is vital for cellular processes, including muscle contraction and neurotransmission, making uMtCK a key player in both normal physiology and in the pathophysiology of various diseases. Using uMtCK monoclonal antibody (C-4) in research can provide valuable insights into the role of mitochondrial creatine kinase in energy metabolism and its implications in health and disease.
