TTDN1 Antibody (F-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TTDN1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-TTDN1 antibody (F-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TTDN1, also known as C7orf11, ABHS, or ORF20, consists of 179 amino acids and is primarily localized in the nucleus, where TTDN1 plays a crucial role in maintaining cell cycle integrity, particularly in the regulation of mitosis and cytokinesis. This nuclear localization ensures proper cell division and function, which is essential for tissue growth and repair. TTDN1 is highly expressed in the kidney and liver, with lower expression levels found in the placenta, heart, skeletal muscle, pancreas, lung, and brain tissue. Mutations in the TTDN1 gene are linked to trichothiodystrophy non-photosensitive type 1, also known as Amish brittle hair brain syndrome, an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by decreased male fertility, short stature, and brittle hair. TTDN1 (F-8) antibody′s availability in various formats makes this product a versatile tool for researchers studying TTDN1′s role in cellular processes and related disorders.

Can TTDN1 (F-8): sc-393079 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. Yes, TTDN1 (F-8): sc-393079 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
