    SEE ALSO...

Tachykinin Antibody (H-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that targets Tachykinin, a family of neuropeptides that includes Substance P, Neurokinin A (also known as Substance K or Neuromedin L), and Neurokinin B. Tachykinins are synthesized as preprotachykinin I (PPT I) and are predominantly located in neuronal cells within both the central and peripheral nervous systems, where they play crucial roles in neurotransmission, modulation of pain perception, inflammation, and vasodilation. Anti-Tachykinin antibody (H-2) is raised against amino acids 1-129 of human Tachykinin, targeting Tachykinins of mouse, rat, and human origin in applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Detecting Tachykinin′s cellular localization is important because its presence in neurons affects neuronal communication and responses to physiological stimuli, impacting research in neuroscience and immunology. Tachykinin monoclonal antibody (H-2) is available in both non-conjugated form and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, offering versatility for different experimental needs. Understanding the distribution and function of Tachykinins aids in studying conditions like pain, depression, and cancer metastasis, making Tachykinin (H-2) antibody a valuable tool for biomedical research.

Can Tachykinin (H-2): sc-25266 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, Tachykinin (H-2): sc-25266 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
