PP5 Antibody (3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects PP5 in mouse, rat, human, and canine samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF) applications. PP5, also known as Protein phosphatase T (PP-T, PPP5C), plays a crucial role in cellular regulation by dephosphorylating serine residues on various substrates, including skeletal muscle phosphorylase and histone H1, which are vital for processes such as mitosis and RNA biogenesis. PP5 maintains predominantly nuclear localization, where anti-PP5 antibody (3) can detect interactions with key proteins like CDC16 and CDC27, thereby influencing cell cycle progression and gene expression. PP5′s ability to modulate phosphorylation states is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and ensuring proper cellular responses to external signals. PP5 monoclonal antibody (3) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying the intricate mechanisms of protein regulation and signaling pathways in various biological contexts.

I am using PP5 (3): sc-136046 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
