N-Myc Antibody (NMYC-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects N-Myc in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). N-Myc is a crucial member of the Myc family of oncogenes, which play a significant role in cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. N-Myc is primarily located in the nucleus, where N-Myc functions as a transcription factor regulating gene expression involved in cell growth and metabolism. This nuclear localization enables N-Myc to interact directly with DNA and other nuclear proteins, influencing cellular processes that can lead to tumorigenesis when dysregulated. Notably, aberrant expression of N-Myc is often associated with aggressive forms of cancer, such as neuroblastoma, where N-Myc amplification correlates with disease progression. Anti-N-Myc antibody (NMYC-1) provides a reliable tool for researchers studying N-Myc′s role in cancer biology and potential as a therapeutic target.
