Lymphotactin Antibody (E-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects lymphotactin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-lymphotactin antibody (E-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Lymphotactin is a unique chemokine-like molecule primarily produced by activated CD8+ T cells, playing a crucial role in immune responses by mediating the migration of T cells to sites of inflammation. Notably, lymphotactin is a C-type member of the chemokine superfamily, distinguished by the retention of only two of the four conserved cysteine residues found in other chemokines, which is significant for specific receptor binding and functional activity. In normal tissues, lymphotactin is predominantly expressed in the spleen, thymus, small intestine, and peripheral blood leukocytes, with lower expression levels in the lung, prostate, and ovary. Lymphotactin′s ability to attract CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, while not affecting monocytes, highlights its selective role in T cell-mediated immunity. XCR1, the specific receptor for lymphotactin, belongs to the G protein-coupled receptor family, underscoring the importance of this interaction in regulating immune cell trafficking and function.
