    SEE ALSO...

GM-CSF Antibody (4G9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF) in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). GM-CSF is a crucial pleiotropic cytokine that plays a significant role in the regulation of hematopoiesis, particularly in the proliferation and differentiation of granulocytes and macrophages. The mature form of GM-CSF consists of 127 amino acids, following the cleavage of a 17 amino acid signal peptide, and functions as a glycoprotein that can enhance the activity of various signaling pathways, including the phosphorylation of cytosolic phospholipase A2 (cPLA2) in human neutrophils. This phosphorylation is vital as GM-CSF can lead to increased enzyme activity, thereby influencing inflammatory responses and immune system regulation. Anti-GM-CSF antibody (4G9) serves as an essential tool for researchers studying GM-CSF′s role in immune responses and potential implications in various diseases, including autoimmune disorders and cancer.

How much sample do you recommend loading on the gel for Western blot detection using GM-CSF (4G9): sc-32772?

    Asked by: cjMara
We recommend loading 40–60 µg whole cell lysate, 10–20 µg nuclear extract, 5-10 µg transfected lysate, or 10–20 ng purified protein per lane.
