SEE ALSO...

Cyclin D1 Antibody (A-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects cyclin D1 of mouse, rat, and human origin through various applications including western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Cyclin D1 (A-12) antibody is offered in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, such as agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cyclin D1 plays a pivotal role in cell cycle regulation, particularly during the G1 phase, where cyclin D1 is essential for the transition from G1 to S phase. This transition is crucial for cellular proliferation, as cells prepare for DNA synthesis. Dysregulation of cyclin D1 is associated with various cancers, leading to uncontrolled cell division. Cyclin D1 binds and activates cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs), facilitating phosphorylation of the retinoblastoma protein, which releases E2F transcription factors that drive expression of genes necessary for DNA replication. Understanding cyclin D1 function is vital for elucidating mechanisms of tumorigenesis and developing targeted cancer therapies.
