SEE ALSO...

β lactamase Antibody (8A5.A10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects beta lactamase protein of gram negative bacteria by western blotting (WB) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-beta lactamase antibody (8A5.A10) is available as a non-conjugated format, providing researchers with a reliable tool for studying antibiotic resistance mechanisms. Beta lactamase enzyme plays a crucial role in bacterial survival by conferring resistance to beta lactam antibiotics, which are among the most widely used antibiotics in clinical settings. Beta lactamase (8A5.A10) antibody effectively neutralizes antibacterial properties by hydrolyzing the beta lactam ring structure of these antibiotics, allowing bacteria to thrive even in the presence of these drugs. Understanding beta lactamase structure is vital, as beta lactamase reveals the enzyme′s active site and the specific interactions that facilitate catalytic function. Beta lactamase structure also informs the development of novel inhibitors aimed at combating antibiotic resistance, making beta lactamase a significant target for pharmaceutical research. With four distinct classes of beta lactamases (A-D) characterized by sequence and substrate specificity, studying beta lactamase is essential for developing strategies to counteract bacterial resistance and improve therapeutic outcomes.
