α-Asarone, also known as cis-isoeugenol, is an aromatic compound that can be found in various plants and herbs. In vitro experiments have focused on its ability to hinder bacterial and fungal proliferation. While the precise mechanism of action of α-Asarone remains incompletely understood, it is hypothesized to operate through the modulation of various enzymes, receptors, and transcription factors.
