ZNRD1 Antibody (10B7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects ZNRD1 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ZNRD1, also known as TEX6, Rpa12, or hZR14, is a 126 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the nucleolus, where ZNRD1 is involved in the transcription of DNA into RNA as part of the multi-protein RNA polymerase I complex. ZNRD1 contains a TFIIS-type zinc finger, which is essential for ZNRD1′s function in catalyzing the synthesis of ribosomal RNA precursors, a vital process for ribosome biogenesis and, consequently, protein synthesis in cells. The gene encoding ZNRD1 is located on human chromosome 6, a region that is significant not only for its size—comprising nearly 6% of the human genome—but also for its association with various diseases, including early onset intestinal cancer and other genetic disorders. The presence of ZNRD1 in the nucleolus underscores ZNRD1′s importance in cellular function and highlights ZNRD1′s potential as a biomarker for studying diseases linked to ribosomal dysfunction.
